Five Farmgirl Finds for Mom

What do you get the mom who wants “nothing but your love?” Let’s face it, though she may never ask for anything, any mom would appreciate a small token of thoughtfulness. These fun finds make life just a little sweeter, fresher, and more stylish. Here are my top gift picks for Mother’s Day or any day:   1. I know it feels like 2015 has just begun, but I’m so ready for spring! The thought of tulips, asparagus, crop tops and color gets me going! Here are a few things to help bring on brighter days… 1. Smashbox O-Glow Intuitive Cheek Color This cheek color miraculously goes on clear and then activates with your skin to give you the perfect, personalized flush. I’m hooked. 2. Here are a few of my favorite spring … [Read more...]

Ten Farmgirl Finds for Fall

Nothing beats the crisp air, gorgeous colors, and delicious flavors of fall. But a few things come close! Here are a few of my favorite things to help get you psyched for the season ahead… 1. Avocado Oil Lately, I’ve been reaching for this more than any other oil. Not only does it have the highest smoking point (over 500°F), it's also got a rich but subtle avocado flavor. I use it for stir-frying, deep-frying, searing fish, salad dressings, baking, and just plain dipping. 2. Good Eggs The buzz has begun on this San Francisco-based startup with a mission. Like Etsy for foodies, Good Eggs brings local produce, artisanal foods, seafood and meats right to your doorstep. It’s just over a year old, but the company is already making … [Read more...]
