Just in case you’re still hunting for Thanksgiving ideas, here’s a fun and festive way to kick off any feast. Don’t worry if you can’t find the caramel apple syrup (pumpkin spice and gingerbread syrups are delightful, too). You can substitute apple cider spiked with a little maple syrup.
These adorable caramel apple lollipops would make perfect cocktail stirrers. But this Farmgirl will be taking a break from all that to volunteer at a soup kitchen. Sometimes a little bit of reality is the best garnish.
Wishing you all a memorable, relaxing Thanksgiving!
Serves 6
Cinnamon sugar
1 wedge of lemon
1 bottle of champagne or California sparkling wine
6 ounces Monin Caramel Apple Syrup or apple cider mixed with a little maple syrup
1 Asian apple pear, sliced thinly into wedges, or 6 caramel apple lollipops for garnish
1. Sprinkle a couple tablespoons of cinnamon sugar onto a small plate that’s wide enough to fit the rim of your champagne flutes. Rim a chilled flute with the lemon wedge, then dip into the cinnamon sugar to coat the rim. Repeat for each cocktail.
2. Pour 1/2 – 1 ounce (up to 2 tablespoons) of syrup into each of the flutes. Fill the flutes with champagne.
3. To garnish, affix a slice of Asian apple pear to each rim, or else place a lollipop into each flute.
